Ok some of us in Singapore are affected by the recent hotmail glitch caused by some proxy or javascript error, where you cant seem to open the emails no matter how many clicks you try.

For Internet explorer or firefox users.

Good news.

Here's the remedy.

If your ISP happens to be Singnet, which is mainly the reason for the victims, including me (and whatever ISP stands for),


Go to internet explorer, Internet options, Connections, Lan Settings, Check the Use a proxy server for your LAN box, and input the following information:

proxy.singnet.com.sg
port : 8080


2nd solution:

For mac users or computer illiterate peeps, or people who simpy condemn the java language like me,

you can sign in on mobile mode over here.

It's not the best option, but you can still read email & reply temporarily.


For today, hotmail works. And i'm thinkin it's because they needa update the latest beta windows live or whatever it's called that caused it.

But for those still affected, you know where to look.

Which i had the experience of workin at a call centre for part time during school holidays after 'A's. So i can really understand how both sides are feeling. lol
