Can you feel the ground shaking anywhere 5 miles in radius near the cinemas worldwide?

I can.

And majority of them are female homo sapiens.

Why?

Cos the bloody movie Twilight is here, that's why.

Sick of all the posters and movie trailers playing itself on the MRT over and over and over and over again, I've finally decide to fall into the bandwagon. Caught it yesterday and it really, it wasnt that bad.

*Spoilers ahead, but you'll watch it someday right? Na uh. Dont deny it.*

Call me a typical female fan or whatever, but i kinda like it. The concept of vampires, it's so seductive, and the immortality of life, and any other person with pale diamond skin and gravity defying hair playing the piano. YIKES! MAMA!
I especially am in love with the baseball scene, and the family rounding up to defend bella when James couldnt resist a lil packet of potato chips aka "the snack". Freakin coool. Probably mar fav part of the whole movie.

Many hardcore fans of the series would have yelled injustice to the movie being different from the book, yada yada. But seriously, wake up your idea. Not even Steven spielberg or George Lucas or Obama can do an exact 100% replica of the book onto a movie. Movies will somehow pale in comparison. Like Harry Potter. So. Face. It.

Although, although, i do find the middle part, where bella found out about him, you know, and him wanting to test her by repeating "he's a monster he's a monster" and grew a tantrum throwing tree roots and playing hide and seek with her just kinda a little too cheesy and draggy. A little soap opera-ish. And I cant help but be like, yes, we so get it. She doesnt mind. Move on already.

Plus, i was kinda giggling inside when bella made a reflection about the 3 things she was sure about after that night. If you guys can recall, she mentioned, "but there were 3 things i was sure about. 1. that Edward was a vampire...". And my mind kinda went, yeah no shit! lol.
Ok. Somehow, i have a feelin the testosterone driven guys dragged by their gfs to catch the "romantic epic comparable to Titanic" are cheering on that paragraph over here.

So there, yes, i'm a fan of Twilight now. But only cos it involves vampires. Period. And i still enjoy the movie, admist the squeaky, giggling teenage girls that decided to stick heart shaped stamps on their eyes, and despite me rolling my eyes at the same time and scowling at their occational too high a pitch "oooo he's sooo cutttteee".

The girls at the end had me LOL-ing.

No, i dont think straggling them helps.

But yes, i admit I'm still secretly a cushion-hugging-loving-chick-flicks kinda chick of the 21st century.

And, I'm proud of it.

Yes my baby, you speak the language of shooting stars.
Over the rainbow, that's where you'll find me waiting for you.
This desire so inexplicable, I thought I never loved.
Until, you have taken me completely over.
