YES, WE CAN!

Houston! I've touched down!

Reporting from base at the kitchen now. I know, sounds a bit unglam lol. It's a kitchen/laundry/computer room. Efficient right...

Believe it or not. We cannot underestimate the power of jet lag! Still feelin like earth is swaying crazily. Approx 40+ hours of flight and transit. Literally half a globe across man! Can die! The worst has gotta be the 12 hours flight from taipei to LA. Horrible! Almost puked. LOL. That's weak man!

*puts L sign on forehead*

But what was interesting was experiencing the first culture difference right at Albany airport where this black dude was handcuffed, right in the streets by two officers. And my first thought was, "whoa! YEAH! OMG". And no, in case you are wondering, i didnt and cant take that picture. Lol.

So we took a taxi from Albany airport to greyhound bus station, then another taxi straight down to our cabin (supposed to take the bus from greyhound to lake george bus station then another taxi to cabin. BUT SIAO! Think we red bull mehh??). And cant take a straight taxi down cos will be expensive and some drivers didnt know the way. Oh man, i miss tiny singapore already.

So after draggggging our luggages and askin for directions, we've reached. :)

The cabin looks good, at least on the outside. Within, it's a shithole! LOL. No aircon and insects are multiplying fast because of summer! Plus, the toilet was filthy and the room has cobwebs. I mighty hate dirty toilets! So Mig (guy in charge) told us it's not the Great Escape. It's the Great Mistake. Lol.

*cue*

MUMMMYYY!!

Ahahaha. But still, kept an open mind and clean loh. No choice. In the end, decided to crash with the other room for the aircon and left the dirtier one for storage.

There are alot of turkish people around here. And they speak excellent english, for the 2nd grade. LOL. How to work in the park like that?? Yeah, i have no idea how they survived haha.

So we survived the first day by walkin at least a mile to wal-mart to buy all the groceries and dinner. We are being stared at quite a bit cos NO ONE, not a ghost, at least not that i can see anyway, walks to their destination. Everyone has a bloody car! We are not called "aliens" by them for nothing (all non-US citizens are called aliens). Lol.

So today is the 2nd day.

We survived!

Shopped quite a lot at the factory outlets. Gap, Banana Republic, Tommy Hilfiger, Coach, Burberry, etc. So much cheaper!

Ok i can hear keyboards slamming away typing requests already. haha

Alrighty! Tmw is our orientation. Gotta go cook dinner! :)

Pictures up sooon.

And omg, RIP Micheal Jackson!

Ohh and and a personal shoutout to Chilli, Nessa, Liyana, family(if you secretly reads my blog. Stop it!) and several other friends! Yes I'm safe and gettin unwillingly tan and I Miss y'all! ;)

Yes my baby, you speak the language of shooting stars.
Over the rainbow, that's where you'll find me waiting for you.
This desire so inexplicable, I thought I never loved.
Until, you have taken me completely over.
