What defines a good leadership?

A question i have analysed many times over, enough to growl and stare into space unknowingly at times.

I must admit that this job is the most challenging yet. Not that i have a rich prior experience to compare to. But being thrown in the deep ocean to swim by myself aka to lead during crisis has changed me. Somehow.

Imagine having to deal with 03 major incidents back to back (major meaning it warrants the higher management's interest) and crossing over midnight on my birthday with tons of reports!

Remember that recent commotion incident because of a flight delay that happened at the airport?



Oooh yeah. This was my worst case to date. So goin into my books of bad history. Still traumatizing!

And all of these rolled in as i was being covering when my team leader took leave. Just what kind of coincidence is that?!
Swim honey swim!

To add, you are expected to think on your feet, be answerable to your team's mistakes, be the answer during crisis, correcting their mistakes while maintaing that good balance, and to top it off with a cherry, truth is, you may not even get any credit at the end of the day.

Sh** does hits the fan sometimes.

Somehow it just isnt as simple as ABC with the idea of barking instructions to your colleagues anymore huh.

But, like my favourite motto i gave to myself when you feel like the tide is going against you,

remember,

There's More to Life Than This.

And no, i did not just copy that by walking straight to the library to borrow books on positive psychology. Or a book on happiness at work. Or meditate. A lot.
